Ernie Castruita is the VP of Data Engineering & Business Intelligence at KNA, where he oversees the sourcing, consolidation, and provision of enterprise data for Reporting & Analytics. Most recently, the KNA Data Engineering team completed the migration and expansion of the KNA Enterprise Data Warehouse to the cloud. Ernie’s career prior to KNA includes several data warehouse implementations (Azure, AWS, SQL Server), the establishing of a data governance function, the deployment of self-serve analytics, and the creation & deployment of AI-powered worldwide supply Chain analytics products. With over twenty-five years in the field of analytics, and over eighteen years of experience leading BI teams in organizations of regional and global scope, Ernie believes firmly in fact-based servant leadership, and that the key to innovation lies in giving teams the freedom to experiment, fail, learn & iterate. In his spare time Ernie volunteers as a soccer coach, as board member of various non-profits, and spends time in DIY projects. He resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with his wife and two children. Ernie holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix and a Masters in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Finance from Pepperdine University.
