Kavitha Prabhakar

Kavitha is currently the Civil Government Sector Leader and sector spans 25 client accounts such as IRS, USPS, US Dept of Agriculture, Dept of Commerce and Department of State.  Kavitha has led technology transformations at the heart of business across multiple commercial and government clients. She advises clients on technology trends that can disrupt current businesses and capture new market value. As the prior Lead Client Service Partner of IRS, she has lead numerous business transformation programs – modernization of individual tax processing platform for US taxpayers, expansion of IRS Digital presence by helping them move to self-service-based web and mobile channels and implementation of the Tax Reform

Kavitha led the Results Management Office (RMO) service offering– an outcome-based approach to Program Management to drive business results. She has presented RMO at the Project Management Institute’s global annual conferences in 2010/2011 and has been published in CIO Insights magazine in 2012.

Kavitha was a member of the Deloitte’s Board Council and currently leads the Executive Women in Technology Program (CIOs) for Fortune 500 clients.   Kavitha has been involved in building eminence on Women in Technology topics and published numerous points of view on smashing the IT glass ceiling.   Kavitha also was the Dean of the Ellen Gabriel Fellows Program for 4 years and has also led various Women’s Initiative (WIN) programs including Wise Women and Women on Wall Street. 

Kavitha has a M.S in Computer Science and MBA with concentrations in strategy and finance from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  She also holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from State University of New York, Buffalo. She is married to her husband Sujit Menon and they have 2 children: Ashwin (15) and Maya (12).
